Football legend Pelé dies





Brazilian football icon Pelé died in Sao Paulo in the early hours of Friday from complications related to colon cancer. He was 82 years old. Born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Pelé won an unprecedented three FIFA World Cups in 1958, 1962, and 1970. With dizzying dribbling skills,

superlative speed, and crowd-pleasing flair, the striker dominated the world of football during his career, both for the national team and his club Santos FC. Widely regarded as football's greatest player, Pelé scored 77 goals for Brazil in official matches, with 1,281 goals in 1,366 games overall, including friendlies.
